The second year
anniversary of my comrade Cpl Mark Kidd’s passing |
January 25, 2009 will
be the second year anniversary of my comrade Cpl
Mark Kidd’s passing. Mark died fighting for his
country that he so loved and his brothers, the
Marines and Sailors at Entry Control Point 1 located
at the “Cover Leaf” in Al Fallujah. Mark also lived
and was part of Entry Control point 1A. Not a day
goes by that I do not think of Mark or the other
twenty one Marines of our battalion that gave their
lives for my freedom. I pray that their families
will take comfort in knowing that there is one old
Marine who honors their families' sacrifice so that
my children remain free in this world. These twenty
two men are my heroes. |
